By train

Take the Circumvesuviana train on the Naples–Sorrento line and get off at Ercolano Scavi. From the station it is about a 6-minute walk to the entrance, according to the official page. Trains run roughly every 30 minutes in each direction according to a 2026 guide; check the timetable on the EAV website, as we could not confirm it from an official source.

Heading to Pompeii? It is on the same line: get off at Pompei Scavi – Villa dei Misteri, not Pompei Santuario.

By car

Take the A3 Naples–Salerno motorway and leave at the Ercolano Scavi exit, then follow the signs for the Parco Archeologico di Ercolano. The official page mentions several private car parks in the area and the municipal car park in Viale dei Papiri Ercolanesi; it gives no prices.

Entrances

The main entrance is Corso Resina 187. The official page also lists Via dei Papiri Ercolanesi 19 as an entrance and exit.
