How much time do I need?

We estimate 2 to 3 hours (our estimate, not an official figure). If you also want the ancient beach and the Antiquarium, allow extra time.

When should I arrive?

The park opens at 8:30 every day. In winter (15 October to 15 March) last entry is 15:30 and visitors should leave the area by 16:40, so arrive by mid-morning. In summer last entry is 18:00. Check the hours page. We could not verify the best season or time of day, so we do not give an opinion.

Accessibility

The official map shows a blue route called Ercolano per tutti for visitors with reduced mobility, and staff at the entrance give instructions. The park also offers an app, Avventura ad Ercolano, for children with autism (iPad only; a free tablet can be requested by email at least 5 working days in advance), and a downloadable children’s map. For wheelchairs, toilets, dogs and bag rules the official page says nothing, so call the ticket office on +39 081 0106490.

The Suburban Baths

The Suburban Baths are visited only on guided tours of the restoration site on selected Saturdays. The route is not recommended for people with walking difficulties. Wear low, closed shoes; a helmet is provided.
